I choosed this topic because I think nowadays there are some changes in the tourism industry because of the Internet and mobile applications. It has effect on the tourists' behavior and the life of workers and of course on the travel agencies.
The second reason why this topic occurred to me, is that because since we are here in Erasmus, we are all traveling more, these aplications are really helpful to us, so we use them during our trip more than before.

industry evolution. The tourism industry is now becoming much more active online and on
social networks, because nowadays in the world, the fast Internet access has
become part of people's life, and more and more people are using smartphones. And
this is transformed nearly all sides of life, but travel has seen some of the
most dramatic changes.
For the tourism industry, mobile
marketing seems to be the perfect way of responding to the demand of the new
tourist. Smart phones are not only used to drive faster communication between
people, nowadays they’re becoming parts of tourism.
So the
tourist moves a lot, and needs information everywhere, at anytime. Mobile
marketing is popular in tourism, and quite well accepted and integrated by
tourists.
More and more tourism related
mobile applications. The increased adoption of smartphones as travel tools,
some of the largest online travel companies already report a significant
percentage of their bookings via mobile. But opportunities for travel
applications go beyond bookings. Travel agents can design a mobile friendly
website or apps services towards people using mobile devices.

booking sites where you can book lot of types of accomodation, tour guide
applications. It is now possible to download a guided tour of a museum from the
museums website, or app if they have it. These tours sync in to your location
within the museum and give you options on what to hear about. There are GPS
systems, or for example airline
companies also have mobile apps, where you can buy flight tickets, you can chek-in
or you can get information about your flight.

The future travellers will be
more informed and demanding. Their education and huge travel choices will
increase his expectations. They will wait for more personalisation in products
and services offer. They will expect more security, and comfort.
The travel will become an
experience without constraint. On the first hand, consumers will expect more
detailed information in the right moment and place. On the second hand,
technology evolution will be more and more intelligent in order to adapt
information in a personalized way.
So this is the new future of travelling. It will bring change in the life of travel agencies because the tourism based on tourist firstly, so their needs must be met in terms of services.
